Closure of this website
Joint Reunion
6 December, HM Tower of London
Due to the probable merger with City of London Branch, with mainly RRF members, it has been decided at our February AGM to close this website in the coming weeks.
At present, this website is funded by our 1st Bn London Branch, and all accounts need to be sorted out in time for our merger.
While this my come as a disappointment to many of you, rest assured that you'll be kept updated with news via emailed newsletter. City chairman Alec Ferguson produces this newsletter some 5 times a year, so plenty to look forward to.
It is also hoped that our printed newsletter 'The White Hackle' will still be printed and posted to our members, albeit with a change in title to reflect our association with RRF members.
This site was started some 13 years ago and I hope in that time you've found it interesting, informative and entertaining.
Thank you for your support and look out for the forthcoming newsletters in your emails.

A toast to Joe. Once a Fusilier, Always a Fusilier!
On Friday 6 December we had our second joint reunion with City of London at the Tower. A big turnout made for a very successful evening.
These joint events became necessary as the attendance numbers for the reunions, particulary our London branch, was becoming too costly for the few members attending.
Whether the two branches merge remains to be discussed at both ours and the City branch AGMs next year.
During the evening a toast of port was raised to the memory of our recently passed friend Joe Garcia. Alec Ferguson (Chair of City of London) gave a moving speech before the toast, standing next to Joe's partner Carman.

Our Annual Branch Dinner, The Terry Crowley Memorial Dinner was another great evening. Our guess were Maj Mick McCarthy and guest speaker Col Nigel Easton.
